Our transfer units have just been upgraded once again, we are probably the only company in the UK using this equipment at the present time & you will not get a better quality Cine transfer. Our units don’t have a bulb, Bulbs give uneven and usually dark lighting. We have successfully further fine tuned our Cine transfers to give you an even better cine conversion, bright evenly lit flicker free, nobody can do it better. Not even those that seem to think Frame scanning is the best method. WE have had a number of customers now that have had there films frame scanned previously by other companies, who have then brought there films to us as they considered our method to have a superior picture compared to frame scanning. We prototyped these units for 6 months from the US supplier.

A few people have asked about Music as some other sites are offering this service. We do not add a music background as this is AGAINST copyright law when using shop bought Cd’s etc. The only music legally allowed in the background of your films is Copyright free, public domain music, by its nature these are not popular tunes.

We use the latest in Digital technology, To further the quality we use 3 chip professional digital imaging cameras, transferred via firewire to DVD, MiniDv, DVCAM, SVHS and of course VHS. We know, nobody can do it better for the price. We even keep A Digital Master here for 4 weeks, should you require further copies.

Film Transfer price is plus the cost of the various media below

Onto VHS tape at £ 20 for up to 3hrs

Onto MiniDV tapes provided by us £10.00 per hour.

Onto a Play Only DVD £20 for up to 2hrs includes chapter points every 3 to 5 minutes

Additional DVD copies are just £5 each.

Our charges work Pro rata so if you have 2000ft it will be £100 plus the vat, the Transfer Format, & delivery.

We have an additional handling charge for the smaller 3" or 50 ft spools of £1 per additional spool. So for example 8 x 50 ft spools = 400 ft = £20 + handling for 8 extra spools of £8 = Total £28 plus transfer format vat and delivery.

For your information we can fit around 1600 ft of film on to one Cine to DVD, Copies of your Cine to Dvd’s can be provided at £5 to per disk. If you have it on a Digital Minidv Tape, and you feel inclined, you can capture the tape to your computer and edit it to your wishes. Email me now.

DVD Authoring - Chaptering

Should you need your DVD Authoring, so that it has chapter points to goto each individual spool of film, there is an additional charge of £20 on top of the original £20 for this. As it does entail a lot of computer time. For instance with 2000ft of film it will use 6hrs of computer time, 2.5hrs capture 2.5hrs render & 1hr authoring it. If you have a lesser quantity of film the cost of authoring will be reduced accordingly.

16mm film is not transferred by us but I highly recommend you get in touch with John Hemson Associates based close to us in Woburn Sands

Slides & Photos

Can also be transferred to video & CD at the rate of 65 pence per image.

The cheaper option is to scan the images yourself, we can then create a video or DVD for you at the rate of 35p per image. If you use the DIY approach, your images should be provided at a resolution of 720 x 576 pixels, do remember that you probably won’t see the last 5 pixels on each edge of your scan, due to the overscanning of your TV set. With the DIY option, there is a minimum charge of £ 20 for a video & £35 for a DVD.

Each image is screened for 10 seconds before dissolving through to the next shot, with this service you get a video and a CD with the images on, so they can be loaded on your computer.
